6.Take a Scenic Drive

There are bountiful interesting routes within a two hour radius from the city bowl. Enjoy a trip from one town to the next, past vineyards with mountain backdrops, or take a drive along the shoreline with the deep blue water to your right and fynbos clad cliffs to your left. Blettermanhuis

This Blettermanshuis in Stellenbosch is one example of the numerous historical buildings in the area dating from the 17th century onwards. The towns are picturesque with street cafes, and markets abounding. The vineyards and mountains are also ever present. Take a guided tour, or use a good map to get the best out of your excursion. Stellenbosch and Franschhoek are the top two historic towns an hours drive from the Cape metrapole.
