DAY 1. SEA POINT, LIONS HEAD AND GRANGER BAY

Ease yourself in to Cape Town with these easy to reach places that are not overly busy, but will give you a feeling for this vibrant coastal city. Enjoy the views from one of the best lookout points in Cape Town - signal Hill on Lion's Head Mountain. . DAY 2. TABLE MOUNTAIN CABLE CAR, GREEN POINT AND V & A WATERFRONT

If it is a clear day, head up to the Cable Car station as early as possible. In event of cloudy weather, swap this itinerary with another day.

Day 3. KIRSTENBOSCH, RHODES MEMORIAL, HOUT BAY

The Rhodes Memorial and Kirstenbosch Gardens are located very near to each other, so you can easily view them on the same day. Perhaps have lunch at the restuarant located just above the memorial... and then take a leasurely drive towarsd Hout Bay, and back through Camps Bay and Sea Point.

DAY 4. MUIZENBURG, SIMONSTOWN & BOURLDER'S PENGUINS

It's time to head out in the direction of the Peninsula. Along the road to Simonstown you might stop off at Muizenburg Beach, and take a short walk to the famouse change rooms at St James Beach. Stop off at the maritime museum in Simonstown and then get photos of happy penguins at boulder's beach.
He lived in it while acting as one of the first governers of the new Cape Colony. Stellenbosch and Simonberg are both named after him. This manor home is a stones throw away from the city centre and can easily be viewed on the same day as the Botanical gardens or the Rhodes monument which are nearby on the Southern slopes of Table Mountain.

DAY 5. HISTORICAL TOUR OF CAPE TOWN

Here shown is the Town Hall which is one of the numerous historically significant buildings dotted around the centre of Cape Town. Find a central place to park and make your way to the Castle of Good Hope, which is situated just alongside this building and be sure to visit the Company's Garden, which links together many museums, historical churches and other places of interest.

DAY 6. FRANSCHHOEK DAY TRIP

The historical town of Stellenbosch is only an hour away, and you can drive from there to Franschhoek to see the glorious Huguenot Memorial. Along the way, stop at Tokara Winery, Delairre Graff Estate and Restaurant, as well as a host of other beautiful sigthseeing attractions and Cape Dutch Houses, such as that at Zorgvliet, Boschendal and La Motte.
DAY 7.CAPE POINT NATURE RESERVE, KOMMETJIE & IMHOFF FARM

This Nature Reserve is an hour an a halfs drive from the CBD and is large enough to make a day trip out of it. See the historical lighthouse and a number of crosses and beacons set up by adventurers such as Bartholomeuw Diaz. DAY 8. ATLANTIC SEABOARD BEACHES

You've spent a lot of time adventuring out, stay near to Cape Town on day 8 and see the pristine beaches where celebrities have their holiday homes... Camps bay, Bantry Bay and Clifton Beach. Relax at Green Point park.

DAY 9. PAARL DAY TRIP

Visit Fairview Cheese and Wine Farm and see the famous goat's tower, or go to Babylonstoren for the bakery and restaurant that are backed by fresh produce from the expansive vegetable and herb gardens, which are a wonder to see in their own right. Take a stop at the Language Monument for postcard perfect photos of this famous landmark while enjoying unsurpassed views over the area. Head off to Nederburg Wine Farm to taste top quality wines while viewing the historic Cape Dutch manor house. Finally see some of the historic sites in the Town of Paarl and reward yourself with great dining at one of the restaurantsl lining the main road in the evening. You might also want to see animals at the Drakenstein Lion Park, Le Bonheur Crocodile farm, or Exotic Animal World.

DAY 10. HISTORICAL TOUR OF THE WATERFRONT

Seek out the many historical points of interest in the V & A waterfront, such as the portrait sculpture of Nelson Mandela at Nobel square. View the clock tower, and port captain's building. The Chavonnes Battery Museum is full of interesting artefacts. After seeing the history, view our natural heritage at the Two Oceans Aquarium. DAY 11. BLOUBERG BEACH, CANAL WALK & RIETVLEI DAM

Time to eet that iconic photo of Cape Town's Famous Table Mountain. During the other half of the day, take some time to visit Canal Walk shopping Centre, or if you prefer a completely natural outing, don't miss Rietvlei Nature Reserve which is also near to Blouberg Beach.

DAY 12. HELDERBERG DAY TRIP

Enjoy breakfast at some of the top swimming beaches in the morning - Gordon's Bay with its cosy beach side restaurants and warmer waters, and Strand with its iconic towers that seem to built on the sand itself. At lunch time, head out to Vergelegen or Lourensford to enjoy top restaurants while viewing historical Cape Dutch buildings and gardens. See the Camphor trees at Vergelegen that are over 300 years old as well as the Octogonal gardens and herb gardens. During Decemeber, the fields become a sea of purple as the indigenous agapanthus plants go into blossom.

DAY 13. STONEWALL TO STELLENBOSCH (R44)

Start your day taking photographs and tasting a few wines at the historical Cape Dutch house located on Stonewall wine farm. Then have breakfast at Avontuur where you can also see a manor house in the distance or at Cape Garden centre or at Sweetwell restaurant alongside it. Have lunch at Cavalli and see the horses and artworks - if you have a more liberal budget. Longridge also has a top class restaurant, and is a great placeto see a working vegetable garden overlooking stunning views of the area. You might also want to stop off at Mooiriver strawberry farm and farmstall or one of the many other great country stops along the way. For the more active or those with children, be sure to visit Blaauwklippen Estate with its user-friendly cycle track and great jungle gym with zipline. DAY 14. STELLENBOSCH TO FAIRVIEW (R44)

Begin your day with Breakfast in the beautiful Stellenbosch Botanical Gardens and see the breathtaking lily pond with its colourful floatin flowers. If you are a lover history, take the opportunity while you have a great parking spot, to talk a walk around the town and see the many architectural gems from the past and enjoy the great atmosphere of the town. Then head north on the R304 on a stunning scenic drive past Simonsberg Mountain and choose from many interestin wine farms with historical buildings and things to do for the whole family. End your day dining at Fairview, the Spice Route or Warwick.

DAY 15. BOTTELARY DAY TRIP

If you have a 15th day, use it to see some of the great places of interesting that surround the Bottelary Hills area. These include the famous Zevenwacht homestead and famous wine farms such as Spier, Neethlingshof and JC Le Roux, as well as lesser known gems such as Vriedenheim and Hazendal. Those with kids should try out the amazing indoor playpark at Playalot in Haasendal mall, while those with more of a focus on history should stop at the wine museum and historical manor house at Meerlust. For unmatched views of the mountains reflecting in the water - be sure to stop at Asara wine farm and hotel.

DAY 16. OFFICIAL CITY SIGHTSEEING BUS

Cape Town has its official sightseeing bus which leaves from the Two Oceans Aquarium in Cape Town. Choose from two routes, one that focuses on the city centre, and the other that takes a wider circle with stops at Groot Constantia and Hout Bay. HUGUENOT MONUMENT

LANGUAGE MONUMENT
The "Taalmonument" was built in 30 years later in 1975 to celebrate the devopment of the Afrikaans language in South Africa. The architect, Jan van Wyk created the three towers to represent the three areas where the language originated from, namely Europe, Africa and Asia.2023 Prices:

12.THE SOUTH AFRICAN NATIONAL ART GALLERY
It guards collections of paintings and sculptures from South Africa and beyond.
Located alongside the Company Gardens, it is worth visiting when you see this area. It was opened
in the year 1930 and overlooks a beautiful pond and rose gardens.

18. THE MOUILLE POINT LIGHTHOUSE
Built in 1824 This notable historical building was the first operational lighthouse constructed in South Africa and remains in use today as a working lighthouse. It is located in Mouille Point which is very near to the Cape Town Stadium and a stone's throw away from the V & A waterfront. 19. CAMPS BAY BEACH

TUYNHUYS
Originally built in 1682, The building is in the Victorian style and was completed in 1682
to be the president's residence. It is located along the Company's Gardens next to the
parliament buildings.

GORDON'S BAY BEACH
This relaxed and family friendly beach has a lot of parking and some nice restaurants and takeouts nearby. MOEDERKERK STELLENBOSCH
The Dutch Reformed church with its NeoGothic Tower, were designed Carl Otto Hagner from Germany. It was completed in 1863. The present organ arrived in 1953 some parts remain from the original in 1953 such as the front pipes. Graves of four ministers of the church lie in the beautiful gardens. It is a working church with a vibrant congregation.
FAIRVIEW GOAT'S TOWER
This unique and iconic landmark is located at Fairview Cheese Farm just east of Paarl. Home to a few genuine goats, the tower is of a Rupunzel type and will delight children and adults alike. Enjoy the deli with its huge selection of choice cheeses and wines, or eat at the restaurant.

RUSTENBERG WINE FARM
This is one of the lesser known Cape Dutch houses, and yet the gable is of great historical significance, with its Neoclassical gable in the Peninsular style. The expansive lawns, blossoming gardens and productive wine cellar are added attractions. THE LADY OF LA MOTTE
This statue was built in modern times as part of a water feature - but has become a landmark in its own right, almost as significant as the Taalmonument or the Franschhoek Monument itself. A must see stop for capturing your own postcarde while visiting the area. See the Pierneef gallery, Restaurant and Winetasting while you are there.
